host dies oupon loading second plugin

tested in reaper, bitwig, and ardour on linux (does not happen in windows reaper/bitwig/ableton)
when you load a plugin, it works normally, but when you load a second (different) plugin (layered or on a separate track) reaper just crashes
on bitwig, the first plugin reports plugin crashed and the second could not load plugin plugin host died: could not read async reply: end of stream
i doubt that's a me thing, since windows versions work normally.. but still! bummer!

edit1: nih-plugs work fine though (all the more reason to learn rust)
edit2: bitwig's individual plugin sandboxing thing solves this. nice work bitwig!
