Does your OSPO have a strategy for presence on Conferences and Events?

Hi all,

Does your OSPO have a strategy for presence on conferences and events?

This could be:

• Members of your OSPO attending Open Source conferences, to present your OSPO practices and/or learning from/networking with industry peers
• Members of your organization participating in events related to the open source topics and/or projects in which they work
• etc...

This is expected to have several advantages, among them:

• Promote your organization as a good open source player and increase its reputation among tech communities
• Facilitate the engagement of the members of your organization with the community of the projects in which they depend
• Share your knowledge with the community
• Promote your own open source projects
• etc...

If you do have a strategy, please share. I'm thinking about things like:

• Having a page that for members of your organization with information about existing conferences, calls for presentations, etc...
• Proactively informing members of your organization about conferences and events (with automation or manually), e.g., inform your Java community about Java related conferences, in special ones with focus on open source...
• Having internal tooling or processes to track attendance and share knowledge within your organizations,
• etc...
