From a quick scan of the source it looks like the smart comment must match this regex:

        /^\((.+)\) references ([^(]+)(?:\((.+)\)|)$/

i.e.

COMMENT ON TABLE my_view IS E'@foreignKey (view_column) references (my_table)(id)';
