Where do I place the assets for Launch Screen Storyboard? No image is showing.

So I created a custom storyboard because the Titanium one isn't fitting our needs anymore. I've copied the files into app/platform/iphone/LaunchScreen.storyboard. As for the image assets, I've tried to copy the asset folder in the same folder as the storyboard, I've tried copying the files instead of the image set, I tried:

To use an image in your custom Storyboard, simply set the Image property of an Image View to the path under app/assets/ without the image modifier (~ipad, @2x) or extension:

Important: If you have the use-app-thinning enabled, you will have to use the name of the generated asset catalog. This is a hash based on the image path. To find out the hash for your image build the app, look up the right [hash].imageset under build/iphone/Assets.xcassets/ and use the [hash] part.

But I don't see any sort of hashed image file under that folder. In fact nothing is generated under that folder other than Contents.json. I'm not exactly sure what I'm missing here. The storyboard seems to be detected but no image.

I think it was a case of iOS caching the image. nevermind :)
