moz_taiwangoldcard

Attached the SEO analysis report from moz, hopefully this gives good ideas on how we can improve the visibility of the site. If we can get some top media sites (high page rank) to give us a backlink, I think this will bump as up.

Did AMP help this at all?

I think we need to optimize our keywords more.

@fifieldt from what I read, AMP doesn't necessarily rank your site higher, it's speed. But since AMP sites are faster loading, that makes it rank higher. I think given the complexity of the site (or lack of), it probably didn't improve much.

Assuming SEO is still a goal, here are a few growth hacking ideas:

  • Suggest adding more SEO-friendly copy to index page (particularly in the Applying section) or long-form in footer
  • Suggest asking Gold Card holders who have blogged about the process to link to a few key FAQ pages (not just the home). For example, the top FAQ pages (What is the Gold Card? Do I qualify? How do I Apply?).
  • Suggest creating a single landing page (e.g. a Quickstart/Gold Card 101 page) that summarizes all the best bits currently spread across multiple FAQ pages for more SEO juice.

Do we have a sense for how traffic arrives at the site and which search terms are landing users there?
