I'm curious what the differences are between the Ubuntu 20.04 Minimal HWE install vs Ubuntu 22.04. I recently generated a cluster config and applied it to a new bare metal server and it seemed to provision fine. When I updated the install image from
Ubuntu-2004-focal-64-minimal-hwe
toUbuntu-2204-jammy-amd64-base
the machine would provision but it seems the cloud-init scripts coming fromKubeadmControlPlane
didn't get executed. The install image is the only change I made so there seems to be something missing or different between the two versions of Ubuntu that prevents CAPH from booting the node correctly.I did see that there is a node image template for Ubuntu 22.04 but I'm not seeing much different from what is provided by default.
Any ideas?
