First Check

  • This is not a feature request
  • I added a very descriptive title to this issue.
  • I used the GitHub search to find a similar issue and didn't find it.
  • I searched the documentation, with the integrated search.
  • I already read the docs and didn't find an answer.
  • I can replicate the issue inside the Demo install.

Homebox Version

v0.16.0 ~ Build: 5e81e6010687d8b15cc4bac06e73faedafc735aa

What is the issue you are experiencing?

When adding date details to items such as purchase dates and warranty dates, the date in the Details tab will change to 1 month after the date selected after clicking "Save". For example, if I set the Purchase Date to 27th April 2024, it will be displayed as 05/27/2024 instead of 04/27/2024. I have tried clearing the date field and re-applying it but the issue persists.

I've only just started using Homebox today so I'm unsure how long this bug has existed. I can see that there have been a couple of PRs in the latest version affecting dates (#279 and #345 - the former was for fixing inaccurate purchase time) but I don't know enough about the code to say if it may have been caused by them. Just including them here for reference.

How can the maintainer reproduce the issue?

  1. Create or edit an item
  2. Add a Purchase Date or Warranty Expiration Date
  3. Click Save
  4. Check item details and see that the month number is one month later than selected
