How could the content be improved?

I had a learner who has dyslexia and does not have English as their first language. They reported that the words 'recipes' and 'receipts' are problematic as they look very similar for them. If this is a widespread problem, perhaps the 'receipts' folder could get a name that is more dissimilar from 'recipes'?

Hi Lex, thanks for pointing this out. Do you think the problem is in reading or in typing? Because in terms of reading, it should be clear from the context that recipes is the correct word here. This is also not vital to the lesson, a learner could decide to change the name, or misspell the name inadvertently, without serious consequences. If there's a specific problematic scenario for a learner, we can consider alternatives, but otherwise I'd rather not change the lesson because it would involve changes across many files, and I can't think of a reasonable synonym of 'recipes' at the moment.

The learner was following the lesson themselves, it wasn't taught using live coding. The problem was the reading. Apparently dyslectic folks easily misread the one for the other. That then becomes a problem, even given the context.

I think the solutions is straightforward: change the name of the receipts folder to something else. This only affects 06-ignore.md. The actual name of the folder with things to ignore is not too crucial. It could for example be called images.

How about replacing receipts with income? I think everything else in the episode still makes sense if we use that name.

Oh, I'm sorry @lexnederbragt, I had forgotten there was also a receipts folder in that episode. In that case, sure, we can and should change it to somethings else, like income, accounts, accounting or the like.
