This CKEditor plugin is simply wonderful, but I have some issues...
In IE9 (Win7 32bit) are blocked main toolbar icons (silver color, disabled, not work) when floating-tools is plugged-in.

Thanks for your feedback, rike!
Can you explain this issue in more detail? What do you mean with "blocked"? Possibly an live-example or screenshot could help me to understand this better...

If floating-tools are plugged in config.js (config.extraPlugins="floating-tools") and I load article with CKEditor form:

  1. floating-tools does not works in IE9 (floating-tools toolbar is not visible) AND...
  2. some of main toolbar icons are "disabled" - not work on click.
    floating-tools-issue
It looks like floating-tools disable some of CKEditor main toolbar icons, don't know why.

This looks/sounds really strange...
I did some tests on my Win7 machine with IE 9, but could not reproduce this problem.
Can you provide a live installation where I can reproduce this somewhere? You can send me the URL via email ([email protected]) - I need to debug the javascript on that page to find out what happens.

But also note, that the plugin does not change any of the CKEditor core toolbars, my first guess would be to check for Javascript errors (I know that IE can be fussy about javascript syntax)
What you can try/check:

  • In IE press F12 and open the "console" tab, then load your page and see if there is some error displayed
  • remove all configuration options when you initialize CKEditor. Test and then step by step insert the config options again. Test each time after you add an config option to see if a specific option causes this behavior.
  • remove all plugins you use, test and if the toolbar works then load the floating-tools plugin again and test again
-> when the plugin works correctly now then there is a compatibility issue with another plugin that you use (tell me which ones you use)

Maybe this helps you to find out what causes the issue...
