To replicate functionality that existed in the previous iteration of CBSS, we would like a browse page view option that lets users browse the keywords available in the database to select which they want to use as facets. (similar to how we have a map view option for the Gazetteer: https://syriaca.org/geo/browse.html?view=map)
Users would see the letters in the English alphabet, like they currently do for the browse by author page. However, instead of the bibl records they would see a list of the subject keywords, and selecting a letter of the alphabet would show only those keywords that begin with that letter. Ideally each keyword would have in parentheses the number of records associated with them, like they do in the list on the search results page, e.g. "Bardesan (1)".
Keyword terms could be laid out in multiple columns rather than a long single-column list to save space
Selecting a keyword would link to a faceted search results page for that subject term, e.g. psychology.

Are we sure we want to build this out now since we will want to move to taxonomy keywords in RDF shortly? I'm not sure what my answer to this question is but it seems worth asking.
@dlschwartz I think we should at least have the same minimum fuctionality in the first release as existed in the old CBSS, let's discuss this with Winona on Tuesday but I don't think it will cost much, she has the keywords and this is just making a browse by. Of course we will want to make a much better version out of RDF and then a whole module for the keywords. What do you think?

This would be the default browse view option (in place of https://dev.syriaca.org/cbss/browse.html?view=A-Z).
