Elections and Inclusion
I'm Patricia Aas and my day-job is training, contracting and consulting in application security. A considerable amount of my time is spent doing unpaid community work on things that I hope will help humanity in some way. One field is election security, especially in audit-ablity and transparency of computerized processes used in the counting of ballots. The other field is to improve the culture in the tech community so that more folks with diverse backgrounds will join us and thrive.
The time I can spend on these things is limited by the fact that this work is unpaid. So this is an experiment to see if I can make this scale in some way.
Some background on what I have done already
- Election Security talks
- elections.no website - dedicated to transparency and security in Norwegian election
- Inclusion talks
- techwomen.no website
- Tech Women Norway twitter account
- #include<C++> organization
- Ada Lovelace Day Conference
- including.no website - just an empty shell so far
Any sponsorship would mean being able to spend more time on these efforts.

SelectCover the hosting costs of a open independent production database to reflect reviewed election results in Norway, hopefully featuring an open json API to query it. Hoping to host this on Heroku using PostgreSQL and a backend in either node.js, Java or C#. The hope is that this can be used by independent websites to visualize current and historical data. This will of course we open source. The current fledgling attempt is at:

The goal is to use this as the backend for
