Currently, I work as a research assistant in the Data Intelligence Research (DIR) lab at UNC Charlotte. My research aims to build a high-performance graph storage system and optimize it for emerging storage technologies (e.g., Persistent Memory). I am particularly interested in developing data structures to efficiently store dynamic graphs without scarifying the efficiency of running graph analysis.
As a researcher, my core responsibility is to do deep thinking about research problems, develop ideas to solve those problems, and finally prepare prototype projects to support those ideas. I build system software from scratch in C++, use parallel programming, and do performance optimization and analysis with Intel VTune and Linux perf tool.
In my non-busy time, I love solving competitive problems, answering StackOverflow queries, and reading travel stories. My near-future goal is to help the community in more intuitive ways. So, I plan to work on a couple of projects (e.g., a summary of research papers and curated research papers of specific domains) to help the storage systems research community. If you find any of my works valuable and want to support them, please consider sponsoring me!
