This GitHub sponsorship is for supporting my opensource work. Either my own creations or projects I really like and am contributing to. Through the GitHub sponsors program I would like to find ways to make working on these projects I create easier and for them to end up being better products in the long run. Either by allowing me to focus more of my time on developing them or by also paying other people to help with things I can't handle on my own.

Most prominent of those projects is Rotki. Rotki is an open source asset portfolio tracking accounting and management application.

The mission of Rotki is to bring transparency into the crypto and financial sectors through the use of open source. Most importantly unlike virtually every other competing service which consists of closed source SaaS apps onto which you are forced to hand over all your financial data, with Rotki your data is stored encrypted locally in your computer. It enables you to take ownership of your financial data.

Maintaining Rotki and adding new features to compete with the SaaS giants is hard but something that has to be done! This is where I need your help and where I believe Github sponsors can shine.
