Session based tenant identification

Is there a possibility to make tenant identification by a session?

For example:

In the landlord context

• User goes to a landing page.
• Enter domain or company name,
• Then the code checks if the tenant exists
• If yes then redirect to the login page with a session set as tenant_id

  $tenant = Tenant::query()->where('company', $request->string('company'))->first();
        if ($tenant) {
            session()->put(static::$tenantIdKey, $tenant->id);
            return redirect()->route('login'); # here we will be in tenant context if the session is set.
        }

We can create a middleware like so:

class InitializeTenancySession
{

    public static string $tenantIdKey = '_tenant_id';

    public function handle(Request $request, Closure $next)
    {
        if (! session()->has(static::$tenantIdKey)) {
            throw new SessionIsMissingTenantException;
        }

        try {

            throw new SessionIsMissingTenantException;
        }

        return $this->initializeTenant($request, $next, $tenantId);
