I can't import the files .inst.cfg in Cura 2.7 (OSX). I had to rename them to .curaprofile.

On my iMac I discovered
/Users/my_name/Library/Application Support/cura/2.7/quality/<files ending in .cfg>
and
/Users/my_name/Library/Application Support/cura/2.7/materials/<files ending in .fdm_material>
If you put the files from this site into those folders at least they become valid choices in the menu.
You need to "show hidden files" - (Google it)

I am puzzled by the slow print speed for Normal Quality (PLA) - 14 mm/sec
as compared to High Quality (PLA) - 50 mm/sec

@FGMarshall not sure where you are getting 14mm/sec either, the speed setting for Normal uses CURA default which is 60mm/sec hence it's lack of existence in the actual config.

@FGMarshall also regarding your import, I don't really understand what it is CURA is doing anymore admittedly, I need to figure out which file it is that stores the actual profile paths. My suggestion would be to import it via the import dialog if you don't have luck with the rsync which I acknowledge kinda sucks :(

I deleted all and downloaded again
all your options came up in the menu
I chose zyltech red pla for this experiment

The Material box shows Red PLA
Profile shows Normal Quality PLA
All options are listed below and I see
Print Speed 14
Infill Speed 14
Wall Speed 9.8
and a load more below from 9.8 to 19.6

If I switch to High Quality (PLA) in Profile
I see Print Speed 50
then a load all below from 25 to 35 to 50
I will do some real prints soon

@FGMarshall I'm going to move this into a separate issue, I'll just hardcode in the print speed on all of the profiles. See #3.

Hello I'm new here. Can you recommend me profile settings for the cr10-v3?
