Hey all. I was just playing Star Fox on v1.63 and the video is running too fast (like 25% more than normal), which makes sounds and music desync with the visuals.
I turned on Vsync and verified that fast forward is not on, but it still goes fast. Also, in the Emulation settings, it says the SFX speed is 100% (which I assume, it's the "normal" speed).
So, anyone know why it's running faster? Do I need to lower that SFX speed? If so, what would be the SNES-accurate speed there? (you know, getting the game to run at the 15-20 fps like on the real console)

No emulator or even FPGA gets this correct yet. Star Fox hammers the SuperFX, so the speed is completely dependent on performance, but the particulars of the pipeline/cache stalls are incomplete.
Snes9x's SFX implementation is particularly bad (it's from zsnes) so just adjust the speed or use something like bsnes. I've never been interested in improving it because the only game using the SFX I don't detest, yoshi's island, isn't that affected.
