Studies of many kinds benefit from knowing the most frequent "comorbidities", defined as two FHIR conditions in the same patient during an interval of time.

Existing examples:

CORE should support support comorbidity three intervals

  • patient lifetime (Two FHIR conditions recorded during ANY encounters)
  • same encounter (Two FHIR conditions recorded in the same encounter)
  • HPI History of Present Illness (Two FHIR Conditions in the patient history including the present encounter but not future encounters)

Joke of the day: With a username like @comorbidity would be strange for me to not assign this ticket to myself.
These are the jokes, and they aren't good :)

Food for thought: what about a template to spit out a comorbidity table?

Here's my reasoning:

  • these tables all have study specific dependencies
  • this is not a US Core concept
