Enhance idea: resources to learn #13
Comments
Hi Ivan, Great to hear from you and glad you like the project! I've had a few people ask a similar question, and the answer is that it would be a big job to create and maintain so many resources. When each skill tree has 68 tiles and I'm aiming to create 60+ skill trees, that's a total of over 4,000 resources. My thinking with the book project is to point people towards completing the 'Research skills' and 'computing' skills first, where they go and research the topics individually or refer to the glossary in the back. However, if there was enough interest in the project I have been thinking about creating a Wiki page where topic experts could help create resources and / or include affiliate links to online classes to help support the project. Also, a website building tree would be fantastic! Happy to send you some goodies in the mail if you brainstorm something I can use, and I'm happy to put in the template and polish if you have a pencilled in version. |
Cool! So asap I will send you an email with some skills I consider good for the website building tree. I am also working in a personal one for @OttoDIY robot. Your idea of a Wiki where everyone can collaborate with resources is much better! If I find some free time soon, I would definitely draft something about this. :) |
Sounds fantastic, I love the Otto robots! Thanks so much for your help with this project, I really appreciate it. |
I recently found out this repo and got totally in love with the idea!
I was wondering if only me, probably because my background as an educator, is considering adding learning resources to help those who wants to complete a tree but don't have all the skills and don't know exactly where to find resources (specially for some technical trees). So I was wondering how could be added "resources pages", maybe through a QR code that redirect to a list of resources or something.
Is this idea interesting for someone else? I will give a try to this as well as collaborating with a website building tree asap. :)
