some people would like to see MTDA support setups where one assist board could control multiple DUTs (even if this potentially means programming (storage write) to the attached DUTs sequentially

most (all?) of the APIs we offer currently expect that we control a single device. even the configuration file would not make it easy to describe e.g. which control is for which DUT. this may be an opportunity to move away from the .ini format and use YAML instead
