example (from here):

  let myOutput = '';
  let myError = '';
  await exec(cmd, [], {
    cwd,
    listeners: {
      stdout: (data: Buffer) => {
        myOutput += data.toString().trim();
      },
      stderr: (data: Buffer) => {
        myError += data.toString().trim();
      }
    }
  });

  if (myError) {
    throw new Error(myError);
  }
