Tageditcloud sorting broken into categories

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but one thing I think would be cool is for the tag edit cloud plugin, if you could have it sort the tags by popularity/alphabetically, but each split into their own sections. You could also maybe add a limit that would apply to each category, like 10 most popular for each, and then in the tag edit cloud it would show

Category a: [10 most popular from category a, ordered by popularity/alphabetically]
Category b: [10 most popular from category b, ordered by popularity/alphabetically]
etc...
No category: [10 most popular without a category, ordered by popularity/alphabetically]

I think it would also be nice if you could blacklist tags from being on the tag edit cloud when sorted by popularity/alphabetically
