Schedule and run immediatly

Hi,
I have a code segmant that looks like:

fixedTimer, _ := sched.NewFixed(r.period)
r.schedule = sched.NewSchedule("Retrieve data", fixedTimer, r.retrieve)
r.schedule.Start()

It works great, but I see the first time the job executes is after the fixedTimer passes,
I need to have my schedule starts immediately and then wait for the next period.
Is this supported yet?
