Ideally just show the hex of the code point at the cursor if applicable (if there is a single code point under cursor). Like it could show 88:10 (U0024) 72% or similar.
This came up because I sometimes interact with a lot of Unicode symbols that look similar in many monospace fonts (e.g. ⍴ and ρ, ⋅ and ∙, ♦ and ◆) and would like to see this at a glance as I'm navigating without having to query what-cursor-position or describe-char.
