storefront service is missing from docker-compose.yml at master branch

As title says, the storefront service is missing. This is an obvious missing piece and I tried to lookup issue history for a reason but can't find one.

Hope someone can add back the missing storefront so that other users can try saleor with known good images without the time consuming build process.

Is there a manual way to install the storefront to the Docker? I’ve been working on figuring out this problem all day with no luck.

Hey,

we no longer include a storefront in the Platform. The reason is that storefront in headless architecture is not a core component like API or the Dashboard. Usually storefronts are heavily customized and often written from scratch.

Our storefront serves as a demo/template that can be forked, but we don't want to force Platform users to build a services that most of them don't need

If you want to connect Platform to the Storefront, you can still do that - just follow instructions in the Storefront repo https://github.com/saleor/react-storefront

You can boot 2 docker-composes locally and connect them via env variables
