Multi-site navigation items?

Hi,

I was wondering if there's currently a way to make the Navigation (Items) work in a multi-site environment?
When a navigation item is created, it's now not possible to attach it to a site. Will this be the case in the future or is there a way in which I currently would be able to make that work?

Ideally, whenever creating an item, I'd be able to select a site for which the item is created. But with how it's set up now, I can't override that form easily. I'd be able to edit this for every custom type, but I would still be stuck for the hardcoded External Link.

Feel free to PR something but I don't use this plugin in a multi-site context, so won't be working on it at all.
