How to create an array from an array of indices?

Imagine a NumPy program

x = np.random.randn(5)
indices = np.array([[1, 4], 
                                  [2, 0]])
z = x[indices]

where we create a new array z by selecting the elements of x based on the indices in indices. What is the equivalence in ndarray? I tried to

let x = array![5, 7, 1, 8];
let indices = array![[0, 1], [2, 3]];
let z = x.slice(s![indices])

but does not work with error the trait "SliceNextDim" is not implemented for ArrayBase<OwnedRepr<{integer}>, Dim<[usize; 2]>>
