Reverse endian

Thanks for sharing this solution, I'm trying to implement it but I'm struggling a bit with the UUID.
Why do you require it to be in endian instead of what is reported by the app?
And do you have any suggestions / links for how to perform this conversion?

Sorry for the delayed response.... I've been on vacation.
I struggle with the UUID endianness too! I'd rather not have to deal with it since its confusing!
But, the esp32_ble_tracker and ble_presence platorm reverse them for unknown reasons. I suppose the endian confusion would be something for those developers to address. I'm just making do with what's there since I'm only tracking two android phones.

As far as the conversion, I'm sure there's tools out there but I copied paste from the android HA app. In the HA app,
go to settings-companion app-manage sensors-BLE transmitter and copy the UUID at the bottom of the page. I then, by hand, reversed the bytes, ugh, tedious, but a one time deal for me.

btw, I've got 5 esp devices running the code in my house, each device also does other things, like control of led lights or detects temperature. The multi-capability seems to be working fine for me. I have found that I have to fine tune the capture and release signal strength to get the system to work properly as I move through my house.

Fair enough. I tried to find some converters but didn't have any luck.
I guess I was confused as when I use the ESPHome BLE tracker natively I can just straight copy & paste the UUID into the YAML of my device without having to reverse it:
