I'm relatively new to Home Assistant and am seeking guidance on properly integrating my Yi Home cameras. Currently, I'm using the "Generic Webcam" integration, but it's too slow for my needs.

Camera Details:

Model: Yi Home IP Cameras
Firmware: Custom firmware "yi-hack-Allwinner-v2"
Home Assistant Setup:

Version: 13.2 (with an upcoming update to version 14)
Hardware: [Please specify your hardware, e.g., Raspberry Pi, Docker, etc.]
Objectives:

Achieve low-latency live streaming.
Access motion-triggered recordings.
Utilize all features offered by the "yi-hack Home Assistant integration."
Challenges:

Uncertainty about installing and activating the "yi-hack Home Assistant integration" from GitHub.
Difficulty identifying current and relevant documentation or guides.
Steps Taken:

Reviewed various online resources, but found it challenging to determine their relevance and accuracy.
Could someone provide a step-by-step guide or point me toward up-to-date documentation to assist with this integration?

Thank you in advance for your support!

Best regards,

I advise you to install my custom integration: https://github.com/roleoroleo/yi-hack_ha_integration
You can use HACS or you can install the integration manually following the readme above.
After the installation, you can use HA web interface to add your cam to the system.

About the stream you can use go2rtc integration: https://github.com/AlexxIT/go2rtc
The latency is very low.
