Screensaver Plugin required message even though plugin installed

Hello,
Screen Saver is not working these are the steps I followed
I downloaded the Lively v2.1, extracted it, put it in the windows folder and installed the Lively.scr file.
Issue: I clicked on the choose display option, screensaver option but it said that one time setup is required to run screensaver, I tried the steps above multiple times but it didn't help, it says the same thing every time. I even deleted the app and redid all the steps, still didn't work.

Where is your .scr file located, C:\Windows\Lively.scr ?

I am just trying to understand why the checking for the file is failing.

It could be a permission issue, to verify when you right click the program executable in File Explorer there should be a "Run as administrator" option.

also possible the file is getting deleted/blocked by third party anti-virus program.

Is there a solution to this?

Since I can't figure out the exact reason why the file check is failing, I will just allow the message to be closed in a future update.

I'm running into the same issue, I ran the checker as admin and it gives me the same result:
