Implementing green message marking update for closed alerts in Robusta #1350
Comments
Hi @YuriiBudnyi, |
Hi @aantn, |
Any news on this? It will be super useful to set the Slack msg in green and also include the resolve notification in the same thread. |
We are also waiting for this kind of feature to migrate to robusta. We need a way to interact with opsgenie in slack messages created by robusta and update these messages when some events happens on opsgenie. |
Hello Team,
Thank you very much for your work. Currently, we are using OpsGenie but are considering migration to Robusta in our project. OpsGenie has a nice feature regarding closed alerts. When it receives a message about an alert closed it updates messages regarding open alerts with a green vertical line instead of red.
We propose the implementation of a similar feature in Robusta. Currently, when an alert is fired in Robusta, it generates a message notifying the relevant stakeholders. However, once the alert is resolved or closed, there's no distinct indication within the message thread to signify its closure.
Feature Overview:
The suggested feature entails marking the message related to the alert with a green indicator once it transitions from an open state to a closed one. This will provide immediate visual feedback to users, indicating that the issue has been resolved without the need to delve into the message content.
Benefits:
Enhanced Visibility: Green marking will quickly signal to users that the alert has been addressed.
Reduced Cognitive Load: Users won't need to sift through message threads to ascertain the status of alerts.
Improved Efficiency: Streamlined communication regarding resolved alerts can accelerate incident response and resolution times.
