there is code in there to process mouse clicks like an xterm, but it hasn't worked in years, I think. (Since at least before I forked tty.js.) But for applications like emacs that can understand xterm mouse clicks, this would be cool.

Mouse clicks actually don't work in Ubuntu 16.04 with emacs or vim running in an xterm, so maybe this is more broken than I realize?

I think moving to xterm.js 4.x might help
