Tried to play SOCOM II Online but them i noticed oddities when reading the network config from the VMC.
I had a real memory card attached into slot 1 and i had set a VMC as slot 1 for that game, the would read its data from VMC but then in the network settings screen (where you have to choose net setting that is saved on the memory card, to connect to network) the game instead of reading the configs i had saved on the VMC it read the config that was on the real memory card slot 1. it led to the game bugging out and not connecting to the network at all. I know that the network config settings uses its own library to read stuff from the memory card, since these settings are encrypted using the console i.link ID. maybe that could give a hint of what is the problem. Also, for the record the game supports both memory cards slot 1 and slot 2.
another thing to consider, is that i also played with setting the vmc as slot 2, but them to my surprise the game refused to read data from the memory card saying that the memory card in slot 1 was unformatted and that the game data couldnt be loaded.
