Player Spawn Bug #35
Comments
@EngineerBean Not sure if its related, I had a problem similar to this a long time ago, ended up being a corrupted map if I remember correctly: http://oldforum.keenswh.com/post/1-063-007-dedicated-server-crash-on-spawning-to-medical-bay-or-client-crashes-when-7226930 It was either from changing map size or asteroid density, maybe asteroid density: http://oldforum.keenswh.com/post/warning-modified-density-of-asteroids-is-not-supported-7313258 Hope this potentially helps! |
@stephen-cernota, In this case its a new map, bug also happened with the last map..Also, it is a custom designed map with asteroids and planets that have been manually placed, not via Keens procedural seed and density settings, and in both cases, map is unlimited in size. |
Essentials has some issues right now. It should be resolved when I push the update tomorrow. |
Good to know rexxar. I'll be looking forward to testing it out. Thankyou for your continuing work. I'll be sure to report any further occurrences (if there are any) in the new update. |
Unfortunatley I can't find anything in log files that will be helpful to you. Both this release, and the previous release have had the same problem where a player will join server, and the moment they spawn at medbay the server crashes. Running server under vanilla frontend this does not occur. This does not happen with ALL players, and can be somewhat random sometimes. As an example though, after updating to your latest release this morning and testing it, the moment I spawned and I was the only player..server went bye bye..
