This project demonstrates how to use spring restful webservices deployed in undertow server, displaying SQL Query using database proxy

To access cxf generated docs visit http://localhost:8080/services/services

Steps in building application

  • Define Database using entities
  • Define way to load non-transactional tables
  • define exception mechanism
  • define controller end points and always code to Interface so that it can be extended easily later
  • add datasource proxy for pretty printing SQL queries

We want to display all SQL queries so take advantage of spring boot autoconfiguration we will implement BeanPostProcessor and for the initilization of Bean configure DataSourceProxy and also solve N+1 Query.

Adding DataSourceProxy will print SQL Queries as below

To Enable flyway include flyway core dependency and add SQL scripts under db/migration folder of resources folder of maven project

To Enable ActiveMQ include spring-boot-starter-activemq starter and to produce JMS Message use

jmsTemplate.convertAndSend("jms.message.endpoint", message);

where as to consume Message use in spring boot application.

Enable JDBC Batching.

To Enable JDBC Batching you need to add below hibernate properties

  • spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.jdbc.batch_size=20
  • spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.order_inserts=true
  • spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.order_updates=true
  • spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.jdbc.batch_versioned_data=true
