CCFinder is a code-clone detector. The code has been developed and published by http://www.ccfinder.net people. Unfortunately the projects seems to be unmaintained and does not compile on Linux based platforms.

The goal of this repository is to maintain it and get it compiled in Ubuntu the latest (and possibly on other distributions) on both 32- and 64-bit systems and possibly on other CPU architectures (initially x86/x64).

I personally write software (mainly C, C++) and need various software to help to maintain medium/big size projects and this tool is very helpful. I hope that by making my efforts public to seamlessly compile this package on Ubuntu (and possibly other distributions) I can help other software engineers to make their jobs easier.
