Pak's resolver hangs if there are too many packages with different versions in different repos.
One feature that may help a bit is if we support repos on Linux where we serve the binary if available and otherwise the source, similar to p3m. That way the client only needs to specify one repo on Linux, similar as on Win/Mac.
Also pak mostly prefers binaries so that will make the solving easier if there are many packages on a universe and also cran.
When we have portable linux binaries, we could make this the default based on the user agent.
