Every electronics-related item requires the previous tier. This includes:
Batteries (normal/bio)
Capacitors (including the volumetric energy capacitor, which comes after the supercapacitor)
Capacitor cores
Capacitor shells
Chips (the empty neuromorphic chip comes between the microchip & its loaded version)
Circuits
Circuit substrates (the mounted circuit substrate comes between 3 & 4)
Coatings (the optical fiber components)
Control units (normal/rocket)
Doped silicon (both types)
Inductors
Inductor cores (high-flux/nanocrystalline)
Laser modules (normal/YAG)
Modules
Processors (including the neuroprocessor)
Processor cores
Resistors
Transistors (including the vacuum tube)
There are two mod settings. The first affects how many of the previous tier each item requires (if set to less than 5, it actually makes some CCB components cheaper.)
The second is called SFMT mode. If enabled, it makes everything else also require the previous tier. This includes:
Ammunition
Animal food
Buildings (including the steam engine/turbine)
Combat robots
Fiber (raw/normal/micro/sub-denier)
Fuel rods
Fungal substrates
Guns
Matrices (nexelit/NENBIT/nexelit-silver)
Organism modules
Pynobots
Science packs
Small parts
Uranium fuel cells

Ok, so now MOSFETs are a thing. They should require transistors.
