Zoom in &out in invert color mode results in zathura to "blink" when browsing PDF

Way to reproduce:

1. open some pdf
2. turn on invert color mode
3. zoom in/out

Expect behavour:

• Zathura can smoothly zoom in&out

Actual behavour:

• The page blinks once (i.e. turn to normal mode, then back to invert color mode)

BTW, I'm using Sway on Arch Linux, maybe XWayland should be blame for this? But I don't see any blur from zathura in HiDPI, so I assume it's not running XWayland
