This change is identical to #5981, except that it is targeted at main rather than the patch branch.

Did some cursory testing:

Opened issue to update plots images for main and the prerelease/2025.01 branch: #6008

The Windows test suite passed 🎉

The failed Test: PR / e2e / electron (linux) (pull_request) Failing after 23m is the plots screenshot mismatch which will be addressed in #6008.
