This is more of a question than an issue, really. Why not just export the sensu-community-plugins, rather than roll your own into files/default/plugins? I'm in the process of modifying this cookbook to do just that (unless I find out I can't do it easily).

I think the idea behind this cookbook was to serve as an example initially, and not to end up as the defacto sensu configuration cookbook that it seems to have evolved into.

Edit: You shouldn't be modifying this cookbook anyway. You should be using a wrapper cookbook to call monitor::XYZ.
