Issue/Bug description:
Add an option in Cosmic Settings to create a backup .dotfile that includes all system settings, making it easy for users to back up and restore their configurations. This feature should encompass the following categories:

  • Desktop -> save (panel , dock, window mgmt & workspace)
  • Power & Battery -> save (power mode & saving options)
  • Input Devices -> save (special char entry & keyboard shortcuts)
  • Time & Language -> save (timezone & date-time format)
  • Installed Apps -> save (apps in respective format .deb or flatpak)

Expected Behavior:

  • The .dotfile should store all user-defined settings from the mentioned categories, including manual configurations.
  • Exclude appearance and wallpaper settings to keep the focus on functional configurations.
    Restore Functionality
  • Users should be able to restore their settings by simply loading the .dotfile via the Backup & Restore section.

Use Case:

  • Facilitates quick recovery or migration of settings when reinstalling or moving to a new system.
  • Install all necessary apps in one go
  • Simplifies managing complex configurations for power users.
