Remake or fix this

This is ancient. Along with the main Polaris, it is in desperate need of work.
Dependencies are years out of date, and it's dependencies cannot advance past v14 in it's current state.

It's buggy, difficult to use and still does inter-process communication: Which really isn't needed.
It's massive. The site is massive.

half of it's dependencies are dead, and so is it.
I dropped maintenance for both but they need work or something because the speed of updates is becoming a security issue.
