Right now you can pass css file that will get added but I find myself wanting to tweak more which means I would like to change the indextemplate.html as well. Thoughts?

Somehow, if it is a small number of tweaks, I would prefer to pass them as options via the julia API, but maybe there are cases where that doesn't make sense.

What tweaks do you have in mind exactly? Is it about loading more javascript libraries?

That's what I'm thinking about now...I would like to be able to include libraries such as https://github.com/kisonecat/tikzjax.

This would also be nice to include additional macros, as discussed here (which I believe was raised in a different issue). A solution that lets us pass a macro file and some custom header/footer code through the Julia API seems like it would suffice, right?

Don't really have the bandwidth for this at the moment, but I'd be happy to review a PR for this. The suggested approach seems reasonable.
