The PPA has old versions of freecad and freecad-daily, and it is not clear if there will be updates in the future. Newer versions are in AppImages. Using sphinx require import freecad from the sphinx python session. It is not obvious how to get at the lib inside an AppImage. Pip may also be an alternative.
