is a random walk the only option for time_varying? could there be a long-term trend as well? |

Currently, yes…but we could add an AR1 option or higher order other approaches. |

Currently, yes…but we could add an AR1 option or higher order other approaches.
Can also include numeric predictor in fixed effects. E.g. formula = y ~ 0 + year, time = “year”, time_varying = ~1. That has a linear effect of year and a random walk around that.
