Xbox 1 S Controller Not Working in Mobile Port #207
Comments
Did you select the controller in the options menu first? Can you please try selecting the gamepad in the main menu and tell me whether it works? |
I did select it in the menu, and I went into the game. But Sonic wouldn't
move.
Strangest thing was, this was only for the android port, as the Windows
port had full controller support. I was using v1.1.1

As of now, every platform has a "default" input method that works in menus
no matter what is currently selected: keyboard for PC and touchscreen for
Android. Other input methods need to be specifically selected.
Can you please try selecting the gamepad in the main menu and tell me
whether it works?

Does the controller work in Android menus etc? |
The above question is because I have an Xbox One controller (not a Series S specifically, granted) and it works perfectly. Besides, XBox controllers are extremely common and as "industry standard" as a controller can get. I didn't even have to do anything specific to make my Xbox One controller work on Android, the standard Android API did the trick. So I am really surprised you're having an issue, and wonder whether you connected it to Android correctly in the first place. |
I can't use the controller to select menus in the mobile version or remap it.
