Great update! Congratulations to the great team of Elementor. As a quick suggestion, it would be great if in future updates the Empty States option in the Loop Grid is not limited to plain text. Rather, we can introduce a completely customized template to it. |

I haven't looked into it yet, but couldn't you just place a shortcode in the text field to render a template? Or use Dynamic Content for Elementor and it should allow it. Like I said, I haven't looked at the updates yet, but just going off of experience. |

Oh, this is what I tried a long time ago here but it didn't work for the posts element. At that time there was no Loop builder yet. So can we implement a custom "not found" message on Loop elements using this trick? |

The element manager feature is excellent and professionally implemented. But I want to mention several things about it. Bugs1- It's not that important, but when the element manager page is loaded, for a moment the page is loaded with deviation and horizontal scrolling occurs. 2- Although the container is active, there is still inner Section in the list of elements. Suggestions for improvement1- It would be much better if the icons of the elements were in this list. 2- I think the spacing of the status button with the elements title is too far. This makes access difficult. This increases the possibility of errors in enabling/disabling elements. So maybe this arrangement is better for the element manager table : element name - status - usage - plugin 3- There is no need to have a button in the usage section to display the usage number of each element by clicking on it. Isn't it better to always display the number by default? 4- Please recognizable WordPress elements in the list of elements. For example, there are currently two image elements. Therefore, we need to find out which widget is for Elementor by error testing. Maybe it is better to add (Wordpress) in front of the name of WordPress elements. 5- Like crocoblock element manager, an autosave option for the element manager would be great. Every time we turn the element on or off, it is saved automatically. cheers |

I quite agree. At the very beginning, I had a problem in activating or deactivating the elements. Because I have to follow with my eyes to see each title and which status. I also like the auto save. |

@79ho3ein @nicholaszein Talking about Point 4., maybe it's better to even place wordpress legacy elements under a separate section like how its done with external plugins? Adding "Wordpress" in front of the names will still say "Elementor" under plugin which is not really true as these elements are provided by wp itself |

I just confirmed that all available widgets should appear, regardless if they are active or not. A website can, for example, have both Containers and Sections (and Inner Sections) in use. So this is the expected behavior. Suggestions for Improvement

This is necessary as performing the database query to find all instances of a widget is a resource-intensive task. Depending on the installation this can hurt performance. To avoid this issue, we won't initially make the query to avoid a slow-loading page. For this reason, we won't change this functionality.
✅ Done! Thank you for your suggestions. By adding the widget icon, as well as identifying WordPress widgets in a separate category, it should be easier to make the distinction.
This is a potential site-breaking task. Meaning, that by inadvertently deactivating elements in use, the user could break their layout and lose content. To avoid this, we preferred to have a few confirmation steps (double opt-in) in place to avoid user error. This is why now there is a notice at the top, as well as a warning when the user hits "Save Changes". We want to give users the option to undo their changes before making them definitive. |

Hey, good update! Thanks for finally the option to disable widgets. Now i can delete facebook widgets from the page. 😊 Please add "Wordpress" for wordpress managed elements in the new manager. And yes, as @79ho3ein said, save after each actiave/deactivate is useful. Multi-Select for the Taxonomy Filter works very well. I hope the developing is not finish and more to come. I spect on the roadmap Conditional Logic appears! This change all. Pls add it so fast you can. And finally Global CSS Selectors. Changing designing websites so much with consistent styles. You integrate "Build with AI" in Features/Experiments. What's it all about? I think i know what is it, but i can not test it bcs. i dont pay for it. Is it possible to make a license for beta testers to get ja beta license for testing this things? Only verfizied for sure. Thanks and see you soon! Fabi. |

That's a great suggestion @Joliamendi! Thanks for sharing it! 🙏 As the name implies, this one is the Elements Manager. It's meant to handle only Elementor Elements (widgets). For other features, we have the features page as you pointed out. It's important to note that not all features are meant to be deactivated. Many of them can't even be deactivated as this would affect the functionality of others. I think what you're asking for is likely more related to the Role Manager than anything else. What I can say is that we do have plans to improve the Role Manager, but this will happen only after we have made significant changes to our framework. And this takes time (backward compatibility, complexity, compatibility in general, etc). The Elements Manager is just the first step in that direction. 😉 To summarize, this is a great suggestion, and we will definitely take note. But this is something for another feature. |

Nice update. I love the Element Manager BUT it would be better and cleaner if we could disable elements for other roles like in Divi for example : in this way you could combine the Role Manager and the Element Manger both together. |

Hahaha thanks @stefan3131! 😅 We are still standing by to learn what will happen with Twitter/X. Updating FontAwesome is a really complicated task, one that we've learned does not make people as happy as we hoped. We need to think about backward compatibility too. |

@nicholaszein you could also add threads as a social media option. Also Font Awesome has a twitter and x-twitter option so users can swap it themselves which Elementor could implement rather than swap the existing option.

With all due respect, if you implement Font Awesome so horribly in your system, it is not our problem. 02/2022 was the release of FA6 - and it's not possible for you to update your plugin. This is really bad and a shame. If you want to be the most outdated and bloated site editor on the market, yeah... take the case of backwards compatibility back to version 1.0 - so funny. |

Hey @stefan3131, thanks for the feedback! 🙏 Please, understand that our implementation of the Font Awesome follows all the best practices that Font Awesome provides. I never said it wasn't possible for us to update the integration with Font Awesome, I said it was a complicated task that would require a lot of time to make it right to avoid causing issues for existing websites. And since there's still a legal battle around using that icon, we think it's safer to sit on this one and wait to see what's going to be decided. You can still use custom SVG icons to replace the Twitter bird if you want. All icons are now easily replaceable with SVGs. You should have no problem in doing that. You can follow this guide: https://elementor.com/academy/how-to-add-svg-files-to-elementor/ It seems you have some frustrations with Elementor, and I understand your point of view. But this is not the way to behave in this space, and this is not the place to discuss this topic. We are here to talk about the features and bug fixes introduced in this release. I believe there is not yet a mechanism for sharing on Threads, it's a closed social platform, and you can only share from and to Instagram, this is why we didn't add it. As for the link to your Threads profile, you can always use a custom icon. |

Just had a quick test. I actually do like the elements manager area especially since you can see the usage and disable widgets from third-party plugins not in use. I have a question around performance, you mention it helps performance in the editor but is there any performance gain on the frontend by disabling certain widgets? Also please add restrictions via role manager so it can be limited by user role (same with other areas like custom code). Also please have it so that you can click on the usage number and have a popup come up with where the widget is used (page or template) this can help investigate where widgets are used in case they need to be replaced, I currently use Widget Detector for Elementor for this at the moment. Also my hot take that others might not agree with but I am disappointed with recent betas as my understanding was that no really new features would be released until the end of the year and the main focus would be on finishing existing components and finally getting to fixing bugs and issues under the issues tab, but so far it's not really been touched and it is close to the end of the year. I could be wrong so please correct me in that case, but yeah... (you could fix this issue for me to prove me wrong #23039 😘) Also I have noticed the new 'Build with AI' under the features tab. Unfortunately, I cannot use it as I was ran dry of the opportunity before when the image AI was released and no info was provided at the start around trials or how many tokens it could use so my trial was all used up a long time ago, plus still no restrictions so if you have 500 licenses with all active clients they can use your tokens, not made well from the start in that regard. Please make it more accessible for beta testers without touching what credit they have so it is more accessible to test just during this limited time if they have a valid beta version. From what I can understand you can create whole layouts based on a prompt or reference. I can see this being next level for quick designs or users with no design knowledge if the feature is refined, but as the market is becoming more AI-driven the web design role can be undermined in value and I don't want my clients to be able to log in to the website see they can do everything themselves with AI without need for a web agency and feel more comfortable to leave, so ideally please just remove all the AI-related features and incorporate that as a separate plugin that users can pay for like pro plugin or finally add access restrictions. Just my 2-pence on that. Sorry for long message. |

By default, widget assets are only loaded on the frontend when they are used if you have the "Improved Asset Loading" experimental feature enabled. So this was already a reality for us. Moreover, this version introduces more performance improvements for the widgets that are loaded on the frontend as well. However, the Element Manager (aside from removing widgets in use from your documents) does not directly influence or impact the loading of widgets on the frontend. It will help with the performance of the Editor because it won't load all the widgets and their settings.
That's a great suggestion, and we will consider it for the future when we can finally work on the Role Manager.
This is something that we considered, however, we ultimately decided that we are not going to add this functionality for the time being. Scanning elements is a very demanding task, that requires a lot of database queries, and depending on each installation this might cause undesired performance problems that we can't control (we can't change the server configuration). But thanks for the suggestion, we will keep an eye out to see if other users also want this feature. If you can, please submit a new feature request for this, so others can vote for it! 😉
Our focus has not changed, we are, and we will continue to focus on fixing bugs and improving existing components. These new features were long in the pipeline, and we released them now because they were ready to be released. We have many projects underway that follow the same strategy, and we give them priority when they are ready. For example, the improvements to the Taxonomy Filter we just introduced, and the performance optimizations we've made as well. So you can be rest assured, we have not stopped working to fix bugs and improve existing features! Just keep in mind that some bugs require more research and time to be fixed than what you might be expecting, like the one you linked. 😉 About the "Built with AI" experimental featureUnfortunately, this is a service that requires a lot of resources, and we can't provide free usage if you don't have the trial anymore. We are discussing ways to give beta testers a chance to use it (after all, the idea is to receive your feedback), but for the time being it's not possible. Apologies for the inconvenience. As soon as we find a solution, we will let everyone know! I would also like to clarify that the usage of AI features is always individual. It's attached to your Elementor account, directly related to your WordPress user email. Each WordPress user can have (and should have) their own Elementor account. Your Elementor Pro subscription is not tied to the Elementor AI subscription, although the same Elementor Account can have both. So if you have clients using your Elementor Pro subscription, their usage of the AI features should not be counted against your AI credits, unless you deliberately sing their WordPress user with your own account. Otherwise, they can create their own Elementor account (it's free), and sign up for the AI trial. This way, if they wish to use AI features, they can subscribe to a license of their own, with their own email. We are not ready yet to talk about this experimental feature, so when we have more details about its functionality and usage we'll let everyone know! 😉 As for your concerns about AI undermining your value as a Web Creator, I would suggest you should not worry about it, because this is not going to happen any time soon. Clients will still need your help when they mess up something, and maintaining a website is not a simple task that all business owners want or can handle themselves. However, the AI features are part of the editor, and won't be provided separately or have an option to be disabled. This is part of Elementor's overall experience and we want users to have access to these features. I hope you and @fabigrafo can understand. Hi there, this is a great update. I love the new Element Manager. I do have a question though. Within the Element Manager page the description text (p) is inline styled to be max-width of 800px why is this? On my large screen, it causes the wording to break into two lines when it could span the whole page easily and look more aesthetically pleasing. Hey @hitsgee! Thanks for pointing that out, it's a great opportunity to talk about text accessibility. Basically, the wider the text line gets, the harder it can be to read it, especially for people with impaired visibility, or with some reading disorder. Many designers talk about it (Keving Powell comes to my mind, he has a whole video covering this), but the bottom line is that this is on purpose to make the text easier to read. Hi @Daveden2, nice to see you here! I'm eager to see your feedback about this release! 🙂 I believe you are talking about the new blog post regarding the upcoming changes to the Essential Plan. Unfortunately, your assessment is incorrect. All features are still available to all plans, including for the Essential Plan purchased until December, 4th. After that, only new subscriptions will receive those changes. If you previously purchased the Essential Plan, you'll be able to keep the existing features without any limitations. The new Element Manager will always show only the widgets that are currently available for your installation. |

Great update overall, but for the [Pro] Multi-Select for the Taxonomy Filter I think you can release a much better version where in the filter “text” that doesn’t have a content when using multiple select can be auto hidden or disabled so that no need for a blank or “nothing found” notice. 🤔 |

Example: Filter A: Beach, Summer, Sun If I select Beach of Filter A, Filter B should ONLY show Island and other way around when selecting from Filter B Park, Filter A should ONLY show Sun and goes if anything in relevant within the filter… like if from Filter A Summer is selected, Filter B should ONLY show Island and Park Hope my example is clear haha |

This could lead to having multiple files with the same name and could cause a lot of problems with the database. Having unique strings will assure all files are properly registered and accounted for. |

Hi, @jlemonz! Great to see you joining the discussion! Thank you! 🙏 This Tweak is now the default behavior of the nested Menu widget when you set the Up until now, when you had this option selected, even after clicking outside the Menu, it would remain open. You had to click on the Menu Item toggle to close the Menu Item Content to keep navigating the page. In this version, we modified this behavior, and now whenever you click outside the Content, it will close it. We believe (as many users requested) that this makes more sense for this type of use, and will facilitate visitors' navigation on websites that have their nested Menu set to Open on Click. 😉 |

I think Inline Font Icons is still not ready to be enabled by default. When this option is active, there will be changes in the size and weight of the icons, especially in the button element. |

We will investigate this, but keep in mind that this has more to do with the line height of the text and how icon fonts are loaded vs svgs, rather than a bug in layout. This is also something that is not part of this release, so if we do find a bug, it will be fixed in a future version. Kind regards |

We would love to know your feedback! Yes, the With Kits, you can create a whole Design System in the Site Settings, with Global Colors and Fonts, Typography, and other design settings. They will be saved in the Kit stylesheet and settings attributes. These will be applied to your whole website. I have an Elementor Pro Expert Legacy plan for 1000 websites and with this beta the global feature now says i should upgrade? I hope this is a bug... I haven't found any other pro feature where this happens. Also is there anywhere a list of the widgets that will not be in the essential plan anymore? So i can check I still see these widgets and they dont show an upgrade message

I'm on the same legacy package as well. I get the same upgrade button for some reason on an active licensed site. I have also noticed when you right-click on a widget the 'Save as a global' option is locked with an upgrade button, see screenshot below. |

One problem that exists in Element Manager is that there are widgets in the list whose names do not exist in the Elementor editor at all or have been slightly changed. For example Block, Calendar and several other items. Please fix this so that the names of the widgets are exactly the same as what we see in the editor. |

Hey @Joliamendi, thanks for the feedback. The widgets you're referring to are from WordPress. We are currently experimenting with making this more understandable by identifying which widgets are from WordPress instead of identifying them as "Elementor". 😉 |

Elementor in Safari got a lot better with this beta, but nested elements are still slower than they should. When I duplicate a simple accordion (new version) with text fields, it takes 3-4 seconds to get the styling right. Also in Firefox, the editor loads ok but nested Elements render slowly. I have a grid with videos (with the placeholder previews) and buttons. It takes 2-3 seconds to render right after duplicating. |

Just got going on the beta because I'm excited about the element editor feature. One thing I'd like to suggest is that when choosing between all plugins or specific plugins from the dropdown list.... If a user chooses anything other than "all elements", they can then use the "disable/enable all" to control only the visible elements. For instance, I might want to disable all elements for just one plugin I'm not using. Or disable all unused elements from just a single plugin. As it is now, selecting disable/enable all, whether looking at all plugins or a specific one, those buttons really do control ALL elements. Which I expected, but would be nice to have a little bit more control there. |

I know this may be nitpicky, but there are a few misspellings in the patch notes, which makes me think that a potentially significant amount of bugs in Elementor could be attributable to something as simple as a misspelling or incorrect syntax. Would it be possible for the devs spend additional time to proofread their code before releasing an update? |

Elementor 3.18 beta is now available, and we're excited to receive your feedback on the new features. One of the highlights is the ability to adjust your Widget Panel with the new Element Manager, which empowers you to choose what widgets are enabled in the Editor, resulting in a performance boost to your Editor loading. This version also allows you to improve your visitor’s experience with multi-select capability in the Taxonomy Filter.
We encourage you to try out this beta version and provide us with your thoughts on our latest additions, which include:
Adjust Your Widget Panel with the Element Manager
To personalize your widget panel, you can disable any unused widgets. The Element Manager provides an overview of all the widgets installed on your site and allows you to search for specific widgets by name. You can also filter the list based on what plugin the widgets are part of - Elementor or Elementor Pro, or how many times they are used throughout your site. Disabling Widgets enables you to create a simplified widget panel for your clients, and also results in a lighter and better performing Editor.
Once you find the widget you are looking for, you can enable or disable it according to your preferences. Disabled widgets will no longer be visible in the widget panel, and if a widget was in use while disabled, it will no longer appear on your site. Disable widgets with caution, and use the “Scan Usage” feature to ensure you don’t disable widgets in use on your site.
How to Test It:
Note: When turning off a widget, it won't appear in the widget panel, Editor area, or front end - exercise caution.
[Pro] Multi-Select for the Taxonomy Filter
Version 3.18 introduces new functionality for Taxonomy Filters, providing more control over how visitors filter posts and products displayed in Loop Grids. Previously, visitors could only filter listings based on one taxonomy per filter bar. Starting from this version, you can enable the "Multiple Selection" control, allowing visitors to filter listings based on multiple categories or tags, from the same taxonomy filter.
This feature also allows customization of the multi-select functionality by customizing the logic that determines the result of choosing multiple taxonomies to filter. After enabling Multiple Selection, you can choose between "and" or "or" logic, which determines how the Grid functions for your visitors. For example, if you have a clothing site, and a visitor chose both the “Sale” and “Retro” filter items. When you choose the "and" logic, the visitor will only see products that are both on sale and retro. On the other hand, when choosing the "or" logic, visitors see products that belong to either "on sale" or "retro".
How to Test It:
[Pro] Design and Add Empty States to Loop Grids
This version enhances the Loop Grid to give your visitors a better experience if the filter selections they chose brings up no results. With this update you can write and style empty state messages when there are no posts or products to display. To set an empty state, navigate to the content tab and go to "Additional Options". Once you enable the "Nothing Found Message" Control, you can write a customized message, set alignment, and go to the Style tab to set color and typography to ensure your message stays on brand. The empty state is fully compatible with the Taxonomy Filter and will display the message when visitors click on empty taxonomies.
How to Test It:
[Pro] Receive Files Submitted to Forms as Attachments
Elementor is excited to announce a highly anticipated enhancement to the Form Builder. This new version allows you to customize how you receive files uploaded through forms on your website. Previously, files were stored on your site's server, which could impact your site's available hosting space.
Starting from version 3.18, you will have the option to set the form behavior so that uploaded files are sent to your email inbox as attachments instead of links. This will store the file in your inbox instead of the website's server. To do this, go to the Form Builder and click on the file upload field. From the drop-down menu labeled "Send Files," choose "Send as attachment." This will store the uploaded files in your inbox, and they will not be accessible from the Elementor submissions page.
Alternatively, you can choose "Send as both," which will send the file as both an attachment and a link to the file stored on your website's server. When selecting "Send as both," you will still be able to access files uploaded by visitors through the submissions page.
How to Test It:
Performance Improvements
Elementor 3.18 enhances your site’s Time To First Byte (TTFB) metric by 3-5% on average. This improvement is achieved by changing the control rendering process used to display the widget in the frontend. By rendering these controls differently, the computational time on the server is reduced, with positive effects on TTFB.
Accessibility Improvements
This version makes additional improvements in the field of accessibility so Elementor build websites are inclusive to all your potential visitors. In 3.18, you can control the HTML tags of the headers on the Video Playlist Widget, easing control over page headings structure. The Progress Bar Widget has also been given an “id” tag to each title, allowing screen readers to announce them.
This version also gives the Search Form Widget and the Taxonomy Filter semantic wrappers. Additionally, it is easier to click elements as part of the Menu and Accordion focus. For more information about accessibility changes visit the Developers Blog that will be posted in the coming days.
