Wow you guys are keeping it coming with feature packed updates π Question about the grid feature, is it possible to make a layout like this using the native grid tools in the editor? Where the first column spans the length of 3 rows? |

Added a ticket for the AI text continuity already: #22113
it would be great if it kept the context (here German language). |

A great updateπ₯. Thanks to the Elementor team. In the initial review of css grid, there are a few things I need to mention. 1- There is no option to determine the position of containers within a container grid (Grid column and Grid row). Therefore, it is not possible to create two-dimensional designs. 2- I think it would be much better if the Grid Outline option was in the form of an icon in the grid container handle. Because it would be faster to access. 3- In the image below, isn't the flex and grid preview wrong? As you know, flex is one-dimensional and grid is two-dimensional. But the preview is completely reversed. 4- If the number of containers in the container grid is large (for example, 12), then turning on and off the Grid Outline option is delayed. bug.mp4In the following, there are two very important topics about css grid that I want to address, and actually two ideas to improve css grid. 1- In its current state, the Grid Outline is barely visible. Because with the addition of the container, we will have two dotted lines and it is a little hard to distinguish between the two. Because we don't know which one is Grid Outline. 2- When we convert flex to grid, the columns and rows in the grid are set as 3 and 2. I think it would be much better if the column and row values ββare 1 and 1 by default. After adding the containers, we can change these two values. Actually the video below is what I'm thinking. When we convert Flex to Grid, the structure of the main container does not change. Because columns and rows are 1 by default. When I add containers, I change the number of columns and rows. grid.mp4I hope it was useful. |

The new Elementor updates are great. I am really excitedπ I have a question for the Elementor team. Considering that you published the css grid in this version, do you have a plan to add block, section and div widgets like bricks and webflow? That would be really great. |

Hello, apart from what was mentioned above, I find that when creating a grid, only the first "container" can add a widget and in the structure of said grid the 6 "containers" of the grid are not visible. |

Nicholas asked me to share this from the Global Elementor FB page, about some slightly odd results I got from the AI. As I said there, it was a 'torture test' -- I was asking it to write about my small town in Ontario. Here's what I got from the same prompt in Elementor and ChatGPT -- the Elementor AI hallucinations are between the ** parts. The prompt was 'write a brief intro about the town of Almonte, Ontario' ChatGPT: Almonte is a charming town located in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Situated on the picturesque banks of the Mississippi River, Almonte is known for its historic architecture, scenic natural surroundings, and vibrant community. The town has a rich industrial past, having been home to several textile mills in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and today it is a popular tourist destination with a thriving arts and culture scene. Almonte is also known for its annual festivals and events, including the popular Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival and the North Lanark Highland Games. Whether you're interested in history, nature, or the arts, Almonte offers a unique and welcoming experience for visitors of all ages. Elementor AI: Almonte is a charming town located along the Mississippi River in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Considered a part of Mississippi Mills, Almonte is known for its picturesque scenery, historic architecture, and friendly community. The town was once a hub for textile manufacturing, but has since transformed into a thriving tourist destination. Visitors can take a stroll along the riverfront, explore the quaint shops and boutiques on Mill Street, or visit the many cultural and artistic attractions, ** including the Canadian Museum of Nature's Research & Collections Facility. Almonte is also home to the famous Canadian actor and comedian, Dan Aykroyd, who has helped put the town on the map. ** Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure, leisurely activities, or cultural experiences, Almonte has something for everyone to enjoy. |

Conditional display of interest widgets was a great solution. But it would be great if you make it easier to add widgets to favorites in the next step. Adding to favorites using right-click takes a little longer. It is better if the favorite icon is displayed at the same time as the hover widgets so that it can be added to the favorite with one click, it will be much faster. Since I always pay attention to details, I want to mention a few small things in this version. 1- The page name tooltip is attached to the top bar. 2- When we choose a color, the distance from the 4 sides of the color is not equal. Also, in the same section, when we choose a dark color, small white dots appear in the 4 color directions. 3- When the recent pages section appears in the top bar, it is completely attached to the top bar. It is better to move it slightly from the top. Just like the previews you have shown so far. |

A question about the new AI tool. What are the usage restrictions, caps and pricing for it?From only quickly scanning your AI terms and conditions it is more referenced as a free trial and your own discretion as mentioned under the 'Free Trial' and 'No Refund Policy' headings:
Ideally working for a web design agency where we attach our Elementor account to activate the pro licence on our client websites, we wouldn't want our clients abusing our usage limits of this tool, so ideally would be best to have maybe per user or role access restrictions maybe? My 2-pence is that I don't use the pro support or the provided templates, just the pro functions, so when fully released will pro users get more access or tokens per month for example? Or is the scheme that everyone can use this AI tool but will be in touch with account holders that over use the service to talk about extra costs? The company I work for loves the new AI tools coming to the market so would like to know the usage restrictions around this tool. |

The icons for the mega menu are a great addition. These work great when they are displayed left or right of the menu item. |

In the RC beta I think the grid outlines have gotten worse. Now it adds another row even if set to one and as this extra field has a bigger height it messes with the design. Also the outline preview gap issue is still there. An extra note I've noticed is that the colour swatch preview is now smaller which is odd. 2023-05-05.09-06-25.mp4 |

There are a few things about Beta 4 that are my personal opinion and I hope they are useful.1- In beta 4, the default border size of containers has been doubled. In my opinion, if it is 1 pixel like before this version, it will be great and its elegance will be preserved. before : now (beta 4) : Even the inner containers that have been changed to the new color have a 2px border that looks thick. Also, the width of the widgets border. 2- Not sure if this is a conscious change or not. But in the nested tabs widget, the main container in the center has a handle and also this container can be removed, which was not the case before beta 4. before : now (beta 4) : 3- If we enable the Editing Handles option, there is still a little pink color in the background. 4- Inner containers are displayed as dotted lines when out of focus. This makes containers that have padding by default hard to distinguish with this dash. Finally, I have a suggestion, I hope it will be useful. Currently, containers are displayed in three forms. pink (parent container), dark (internal containers) and dotted (containers in non-focus mode). This doesn't sound very interesting. |

Elementor team, there is no doubt that your team is wonderful and powerful. But can I ask you a question? Do you use any UI, UX designers in your team?In almost every update, you try to make improvements in UX, UI, some basic things like containers, etc. But every time you make a change, it gets worse than before. Why should the selected color be displayed as a boarder in the focus status? Why should the container be displayed as a dotted line in normal mode, but its border should be displayed when selected? The difference in the level of the borders due to the increase in the weight of the borders of the containers. Please keep these things in mind. |

In the color picker section, there is a background for before, which makes white points in the color picker attract attention after selecting a color in dark mode. This problem used to exist in the editor's switcher buttons, but it was fixed. |

Something not related exactly to this beta but is something to do with ongoing UI improvements that @nicholaszein I hope you can relay to the developers if possible. Please put on your list to fix/improve nested containers with 0px when they overlap, just need to mention it while the iron is still hot on UI improvements. When containers were first released padding was 0px by default which was perfect but since for backward compatibility and to put a quick plaster on it added 10px by default so they don't overlap. Not every container needs padding. |

So with regard to this point, I only see deterioration in Beta 4! This new grey, which by the way has a bad contrast to the black icons. Basically, the discussions were about the color, but if it has to be pink, which I've almost gotten used to by now, then please leave everything in the same color. As always, or at least since the containers. Then that with nested tabs, etc. the first sub-container now also has this bar at the top instead of this little box on the left within the container lines is totally stupid. First, it's no longer a consistent design compared to the other 2-level containers, and second, it doesn't look particularly good. The color field was okay before, too, but now it's a mess. Why? I have a feeling that we're addressing things here and you're getting it all wrong, at least most of it. If something needs to be changed, it's the button with the arrow in the new top bar to the dropdown with the display conditions, because it's always pink! Especially, such relatively large design changes to a Release Candidate Beta? Does that mean the supposedly last beta for the release in which such far-reaching changes occur? I do not get it! It's just cheeky to pack so many changes (not wanted in this beta) so close to the beta. What are you thinking? If I'm honest, I'm getting tired of the beta tests, it takes a lot of energy if you stay here for a long time and always encounter headwinds from Elementor. I'm considering whether this is my last participation in the beta program. I really like the development and I think it's going in the right direction in general and I love the people at Elementor, but if you keep doing your own thing without responding to beta requests then it doesn't make sense to me . Thank you and until then.. |

If you decide that the inner containers are distinct from the parent containers, it is much better if only the color of the handle of the inner container changes. Not the color of the entire border and its thickness. |

I can't seem to get the beta to show up in plugins for some reason. They have previously just fine. Yes I have beta enabled in tools. I can get the pro version to show beta 4 but not the free version. I have had it enabled now for like a week. |

Hi Are these two ( A , B) important bugs in the Mega Menu widget fixed in this version, or will they be fixed in the next version? These two bugs are very important. Especially the B bug, it makes the mega menu widget practically difficult to use. |

How to Test It:
New Layout Option in Containers - CSS Grid
With Containers, you can achieve infinite design possibilities that accommodate any device, while improving your website's performance. Now, when you add a Container, you can choose between Flexbox or Grid Containers. Using Grid Containers is ideal for grid-like layouts, helps you maintain the alignment of elements in the Container, and reduces the learning curve associated with the transition from the section-column layout to the container layout.
With Grid Containers, you can choose the number of rows and columns you want to compose your grid, determine the distance between your columns and rows using the Gaps control, and choose whether you want Auto-Flow to go based on column or row. You can also justify and align content and items, similar to how you would a Flexbox Container.
Each cell in the Grid can accept one element, that can be styled and edited as you normally would. To achieve a higher level of sophistication, you can place a Flexbox Container inside the cell of a Grid, and place as many elements as youβd like to, within the Flexbox Container.
To use the Container Grid, make sure to enable the Flexbox Container and the Grid Container features from WordPress Dashboard β Elementor β Settings β Features.
How to Test It:
[Pro] New Styling Capabilities in the Menu Widget
Elementor 3.12 first introduced the new Menu widget, which enables you to create simple, single level menus to sophisticated dropdown content menus. Elementor 3.13 includes two new styling capabilities available in the Menu widget:
How to Test It:
Elementor Interface Revamp
In Elementor 3.12, we began the gradual roll out of upcoming changes to the Elementor interface. These changes are written in React, which improves performance and allows for future product growth and scale. Additionally, these changes promote Elementor best-practices, resulting in better and more streamlined user experience.
Experiment: Top Bar Expanded
Elementor 3.13 expands the capabilities available in the Top Bar:
[Pro] Automatically Populate The Post Excerpt from Your Postβs Content
Up until now, if you used the Post Excerpt widget or dynamic tag, the content would populate dynamically from the Custom Excerpt you had to manually insert in WordPress. WIth this update, you can choose whether you want to automatically populate your Post Excerptβs content from the first few characters in your post, or from your Custom Excerpt in WordPress. This has been one of the main requests since the introduction of the Loop Builder, and the ability to add the Post Excerpt widget anywhere within your loop item.
How to Test It:
Performance Improvements
In previous versions performance improvements focused on the most common widgets on the main pages. With Elementor 3.13, the focus was shifted to widgets used mainly on inner pages, where site visitors often spend most of their time.
The Author Box, Post Info and Price List widgets display images and user profile pictures, these images now have a lazy load applied to them. This change should improve the initial page load of your inner pages.
In addition, since the Header appears above the fold, it should always load immediately upon page load. Therefore, lazy load was removed from headers to improve the visitor experience when using the Lazy Load Background Images experiment.
Accessibility Improvements
Elementor 3.13 is full of tweaks and fixes that improve your websiteβs accessibility, as well as the Elementor Editor. In this version, we focused on keyboard navigation, implementing additional ARIA tags, fixing existing ARIA compliance issues, and applying semantic markup.
The menu toggle icon in the WordPress Menu widget can now be opened and closed with the Enter / Space keys, in addition to a mouse click.
The toggle icon in the Table of Content widget can now be focused on, and opened/closed using keyboard keys, and also includes all the relevant ARIA tags.
The Call to Action widget, Media Carousel widget and the Slides widget all display background images. The background images now have ARIA tags containing the images ALT text.
The Search Form widget received several a11y improvements. First, a hidden label was added to the form for screen readers, a few ROLE and ARIA tags were added and the buttons can now be accessed using your keyboard. Moreover, when using multiple search forms widgets on the page, you no longer have duplicate IDs.
The Gallery widget is now accessible to keyboard users in a unique scenario. When the images have no links (meaning that they are not focusable), but you set them to display the image titles on hover. In this case, keyboard users canβt navigate to the images to see the image text.
Fixed an issue in the Progress Bar widget that led to lower Lighthouse / PageSpeed scores in the accessibility section when inner text is not provided.
The Elementor Editor, where you spend most of your time, is receiving a lot of accessibility attention. Starting with semantic markup, ARIA attributes, landmark elements, making different elements accessible for screen-readers & keyboard-users, and improving the usability for non-mouse users.
