I just installed elementary 7 and did update it to what is current on June 18th 2023
this is an old laptop
I get a warning or error, read log page 0x00 on boot, but I can't find anything about it.
It is definitely slowing the boot process, but that's all it seems to be doing- never the less, it is irritating.
It looks like an ata issue... I have an ssd in this this laptop not an Ata disk
My searches only show me issues with read log 0x08 and Arch linux... not really what I am looking for, and I don't find anything on here about it. maybe I am searching wrong? I dunno... i'm not new to google but I am unfamiliar with GitHub.
I only see it with elementary. Manjaro on a USB disk doesn't do the same thing, neither does an installation of Kali.
Perhaps its a debian or an ubuntu issue, but I can't find anything about it.
How do I fix this?
Update: Alright, it is something with AHCI and the SSD. I enabled compatibility mode in the bios (i don't know if this will cause any knock on issues, but I don't think it will do anything but potentially slow it down a touch)
Is there something I can do to fix this problem besides changing bios settings?
