Aside from look and feel. The native applications and other applications like Planner and Notes-up jells preety well into the OS design. One thing I personally miss, is the lack of graphing tool like Qtiplot or SciDavis and Reference maneger like Zotero present natively in EOS. These apps are really important for students and they don't look native on EOS.
For example, Zotero MacOS interface looks so beautiful but on Windows and Linux (EOS) it looks so bad.
